To Hadley Olsen, Colorado State, Kappa represents unwavering support — a notion many can relate to. Kappa is there for its members through thick and thin. Hadley’s experience is no exception. She found a community of strong, confident women who have become lifelong friends and inspire her to grow into the best version of herself.
Hadley unlocked a new form of support when she received the Louise Loomis Memorial Adelphe Scholarship from the Kappa Foundation. This scholarship brings her one step closer to reaching her dream of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). “Knowing that Kappa Kappa Gamma, as an organization, believes in my potential motivates me to continue striving for excellence,” says Hadley.

Kappa has empowered Hadley to grow in many ways. Beyond academics and the financial support of a Foundation scholarship, Hadley was inspired to serve her chapter in leadership positions — Vice President Finance and Academic Excellence Director. “I pursued these positions because I wanted to give back to the organization that has given me so much,” she says.
Hadley is confident her leadership roles and Kappa experience have set her up for future success. They strengthen her communication, collaboration, organization, and leadership skills in ways she never anticipated. She applies the confidence and skills sharpened through Kappa to mentor first-year business students and represent her university as an ambassador. These skills are also put to use during
her time as an audit and tax intern at a large public accounting firm.
When preparing for the future, Hadley dreams boldly, knowing she has the support of a Foundation scholarship. She plans to graduate in May and enroll in grad school to complete her master’s in accountancy while also studying for her CPA exams. After completing the 150 required credit hours for earning her CPA license, Hadley’s goal is to join a public accounting firm whose values align with her own. As she grows professionally, she aspires to become a leader in the industry — embodying the true trailblazing spirit of a Kappa!
