MyKappa will be your place to access all things Kappa, including managing your alumnae association. You will have access to:

Association galley and dues-paying roster management, including updating member contact information and obituary notices.
Officer roster management.
Resource library.
All-in-one annual per capita fees and alumnae association dues collection (coming August 2026).
Association website management.
Ability to send mass emails to dues-paying association members and all members in the association’s ZIP code radius.

We’ll continue adding new capabilities and enhanced experiences, building over time based on readiness, feedback, and what will add the most value.

how do I prepare

Your MyKappa Checklist

Log in to the Kappa website and be sure your email is up to date so we can reach you. Please use a personal email that is not a passed-down association officer email. (Databases do not like shared emails!)
Start your checklist. It includes information on what’s coming, what you can expect, and plans to help you prepare.
Be ready by June 18. Much of our system, including KeyReports, will enter a freeze period starting June 18 through launch the week of July 20.

General Questions

How should we plan for the transition to MyKappa?

We encourage alumnae associations to take the following steps:
– Use the alumnae association transition checklist to keep up with the transition, plan ahead, and be prepared for freeze periods.
– Let your association members know a transition is coming and encourage them to ensure their contact information is up to date by June 18. Let them know they should submit references as soon as possible to avoid issues for Primary Recruitments occurring in late July/early August.

Are trainings planned for MyKappa?

Yes! Training will be provided to associations at launch. Kappa plans to offer a variety of options, including live webinars, prerecorded trainings, step-by-step guides, an in-portal support hub, and support from the Kappa Headquarters staff.

Should we encourage association members to update their contact information before MyKappa launches? What if we have updated contact information for members?

Yes! Encourage members to confirm or update their contact information on their Kappa profile ahead of June 18. If your association has updated contact information and needs assistance, please email the Alumnae Experience Department as soon as possible.

Should I use my association officer email account to create my MyKappa login?

No. If the email currently listed on your member profile is role-specific, please update it to a personal address before June 18. Shared and passed down emails cause issues with our database and email marketing system. Our best way to reach you is through your personal email.

Will seasonal members or members not in our geographic area be included in our list of members?

Yes! All participating association members, including seasonal members, can be included on your membership roster.

Is my association required to use MyKappa?

Our expectation is that alumnae associations will use MyKappa for their core association needs. MyKappa is a major investment in Kappa’s technology infrastructure, creating a more streamlined and secure experience. It will be a transformational digital experience for member connection, especially for alumnae associations.

MyKappa will launch with core, essential functionality for alumnae associations, such as galley and leadership roster management, streamlined per capita fees and alumnae association dues payments, event calendar, emailing system, and association website. Post-launch, Kappa is committed to building out MyKappa with new capabilities and enhanced experiences based on your alumnae association’s needs and feedback.

We understand that some associations may have contracts/subscriptions with database and/or communications vendors. Please reach out to the MyKappa team if your association is working with a database or communications vendor to discuss current contracts/subscriptions and how the association uses this software.

Will all the functionalities of KeyReports be available at launch in MyKappa? What additional features will MyKappa have to support my association?

At launch, you’ll find the core, essential functionalities from KeyReports, including the full association galley, dues-paying roster, leadership roster, and sharing obituary notices. MyKappa will also streamline resources from other technology platforms, including updating your profile, references, alumnae association and chapter websites, and annual per capita fees and association dues payments.

Once the foundation is in place, we’ll continue adding new capabilities and enhanced experiences, building over time based on readiness, association feedback, and what will add the most value. This phased approach supports a smoother transition for everyone.

Association Dues

How will per capita fees/association dues work in MyKappa?

Starting in early August, both annual per capita fees and association dues will be paid in MyKappa with per capita fees being distributed to the Fraternity and association dues automatically distributed to the association.

This feature will save your association Treasurers time and will allow alumnae to easily pay all their dues in one place. MyKappa will also create an accurate roster of dues-paying association members, enabling associations to quickly and easily see who has paid dues that fiscal year.

Stay tuned for specific details on how this process will work and what’s needed from associations so monies can be received in your bank account.

Our association starts collecting dues at the end of June. How will the MyKappa transition impact this timeline?

Electronic payments for the 2026–27 fiscal year will be available in early August. We highly recommend associations wait to collect dues until this feature launches. If associations need to collect dues earlier, please contact the MyKappa team to discuss options.

Are we required to have our members pay dues to our association through MyKappa? What if we collect dues in a different way? How will we pass along per capita fees to Kappa Headquarters?

Our expectation is that alumnae associations will use MyKappa for dues collection. MyKappa is a major investment in Kappa’s technology infrastructure, and collecting both annual per capita fees and alumnae association dues creates a more streamlined, simpler, and secure experience for members, association officers, and the Fraternity.

We understand that some associations may need to collect dues sooner than early August or that some members may not feel comfortable with online payments. Please reach out to the MyKappa team to discuss options.

Association Communication

How will communication work in MyKappa? Will we have access to mass emailing and texting?

MyKappa will provide association officers the ability to communicate with all alumnae, regardless of dues status, in their geographic area via the portal’s emailing system. Officers will be able to segment communications for different purposes as well.

Mass texting will not be available in MyKappa at this time.

Will officers be able to communicate with segments of association members?

Yes! The emailing system will be able to segment communications with association members.

Will association officers be able to update members’ contact information or report deceased members?

Yes! Association officers will be able to update members’ contact information and report members who have passed away. This will be available when MyKappa launches.

Association Websites

Will our association still be able to use OmegaOne as our website and internal communications platform?

No. Kappa will no longer provide OmegaOne as a website and internal communications option. Many of these features, including the association website and emailing, will be available in MyKappa at launch.

Be sure to download important documents saved in the members-only platform of OmegaOne.

Will we be able to customize our alumnae association website?

Yes! Associations will be able to customize their website content with photos and text, similar to how they currently customize OmegaOne sites.
