Money Talks: Financial Wellness
We’re all trying to live our best lives. This means making sound financial decisions so we can get ahead. Did you know women are more likely to face financial barriers than men? Let’s work to combat that.
It may sound overwhelming, and finance may not scream “fun” in your mind, but we’re here to help. Tune in on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 8 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. MT so you can start living your best financial life now.
MEET YOUR HOST

Mary Childs, Washington and Lee, is co-host of NPR’s “Planet Money” podcast and author of the bestselling book The Bond King. She’s spent her career helping people make sense of finance, from reporting on the bond market at Barron’s, Financial Times, and Bloomberg News to exploring big-picture questions about capitalism, inequality, and diversity in finance.
Mary will share her experience in the financial world and her insights on creating financial confidence. She’ll guide us through foundational money habits, including:
- Budgeting with joy (it is possible!).
- Building savings systems that work.
- Tackling debt without shame.
- Setting financial goals that feel exciting, not restrictive (finance can be fun!).
