All-Member Experience Webinar: Allyship

Laura Gentner Hutchinson (she/they) is an intersectional allyship educator, consultant, and public speaker from Dayton, Ohio. Situated at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities, including disability and queerness, Hutchinson’s passion is empowering individuals to take action toward a world marked by radical inclusion. She holds two degrees from the University of Dayton, including a Master of Science in education, where she also spent five years establishing UD's first LGBTQ+ student services program. Hutchinson’s award-winning research on what LGBTQ+ students actually want and expect in allies led to her mission to make "ally" a verb — literally. She believes that allyship is incomplete without addressing multiple systems of oppression, such as ableism, racism, queerphobia, classism, etc. Through her focus on intersectional LGBTQ+ and disability solidarity, Hutchinson helps communities practice proactive and authentic inclusion.
