Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation Elects New President

Meyer has been a leader in the Dallas nonprofit and health care community for more than three decades. She currently serves in a leadership role at the pediatric orthopedic specialty hospital Scottish Rite for Children as the director of community relations, having previously served as vice president, public relations. In addition to her professional experience, Meyer brings 25 years of Kappa volunteer experience, having worked with both chapters and alumnae associations.

“I am honored and inspired to have the opportunity to lead the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation into its next chapter,” Meyer said. “I look forward to helping serve the evolving needs of our membership, as I believe Kappas are always present to support one another in good times and in difficult ones.”

Meyer will bring her vast leadership and professional experience to the Foundation Board of Trustees, who together are responsible for setting the strategic vision for the Kappa Foundation. Since 1989, the Foundation — the philanthropic arm of Kappa Kappa Gamma — has supported educational programming, scholarships, emergency grants, and the preservation of Kappa’s 150-year history.

As of June 30, 2023, the Kappa Foundation endowment was $54,288,003 with 129 endowed funds. In the last fiscal year, the Foundation provided over $1.2 million in educational and leadership programming, more than $179,000 to support Kappa’s history, $273,000 in emergency relief grants, $10,000 in continuing education grants, and over $1.2 million to 368 merit-based, need-based and graduate scholarship recipients, enabling Kappas to pursue their academic dreams.
