Eta Tau Chapter Installed in the Georgetown Community
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Nov. 1, 2013)— Kappa Kappa Gamma today announced its official installation of its 139th active chapter, Eta Tau, located in the Georgetown community in Washington, D.C.
Installed on Oct. 26, 2013, Eta Tau is the first National Panhellenic Conference group in the Georgetown community. The 24 charter members recognize the importance of Greek life and are excited to begin this journey.
“Eta Tau began as a dream for three young ladies,” said Julie Leshay, Fraternity President. “With their persistence, patience and support from Kappa, we’re proud to now call them and the 21 additional young ladies who joined those three, Kappas. We look forward to helping the local Panhellenic community grow.”
Jessica Michaels, the newly elected chapter President of Eta Tau, understood the significance of the event and what a special weekend it was for her. “Installation went above and beyond all my expectations,” she said. “It was truly an experience I will never forget. I can already tell involvement in Kappa is going to be one of the best decisions of my life.”
